About me

I am an award winning documentary filmmaker also known as Samwise Willow. My passion is telling stories and capturing moments with a visual and emotional beauty. I have been working in film in the MIdwest for over 15 years and have had experience in most every style of filmmaking. but telling real stories is my favorite thing to do.

I have been self taught my whole life and do every job from pre-production all the way to the final color grade.  My style is very naturalistic in terms of lighting and directing. No story is too big or too small.

I have created both short and feature length films that have had direct impacts on the lives of humans and animals alike. One of my films helped an innocent man get out of a 25 year prison sentence. I strive to tell stories that make a difference in this world.
